Bennington Winter Festival

Burton US Open Snowboarding Championships
March in Stratton Mountain, Vermont
The US Open is one of the most exciting events to cover in snowboarding, attracting the world’s top snowboarders for a fun weekend of competition, parties and incredible prizes at Stratton Mountain Resort in Vermont. The first US Open Snowboarding Championships took place in 1983. As the final event in the second annual Burton Global Open Series, the US Open is the competitors’ last chance to make a play for the women’s and men’s 2008 championship title each worth $100,000 – the largest single payout in competitive snowboarding today. Vermont Maple Open House Weekend
March 22 & 23 - 2014 in Statewide, Vermont
The annual statewide maple festival is held at sugarhouses throughout Vermont and is the celebration of the maple syrup season in Vermont
– an opportunity for the public to visit one or more “sugarhouses” throughout the state. Activities during Open House Weekend are
different at each sugarhouse but do include the opportunity to watch maple syrup being made (weather permitting) and to often sample

Annual Strolling of the Heifers Parade & Festival

Named one of Vermont’s Top Ten Summer Events by the Vermont Chamber of Commerce for five years in a row, the annual Strolling of the Heifers Parade & Festival attracts an annual average of 50,000 spectators a year. The weekend’s signature event begins as the stars of

Dummerston Apple Pie Festival

For more than 40 years, the Dummerston Apple Pie Festival has been held each year on the Sunday of Columbus Day weekend, the peak of
colorful autumn foliage in Southern Vermont. A full 1,500 apple pies are made by many church members and friends. Folks from all over the
