An OPEN CASTING CALL FOR CHILDREN-
AGES 5-15 will be held at the Studio M facilities – near
the Regional High Tech Center in Waynesville on Saturday,
December
2, 2006. All Children are welcome and no acting experience
or special talents are required.
The children’s
candid answers to questions on “What
America and Freedom means to them” will be videotaped
and potentially used as part of “The Spirit of
America” DVD scheduled to be released in January
of 2007.
The executive producer of this project, Peter
Smith, is looking for innocence, warmth and candor
in the
auditions that take place throughout the day. Selected
children will be paid for their performance if included
in this DVD and potentially get an additional feature
roll in the production.
All Children will need to be
accompanied by legal guardians who will be required
to sign talent/model releases.
Children’s interviews
will begin at 8:00am and will run until complete –or-
9:00PM at the latest. Talent will be accommodated on
a first come - first
serve basis. Each interview will last for approximately
two (2) minutes.
Beverages and snacks will be served
throughout the day.

December 8, 2006 – Peter Smith travels
to Boone, NC with Adam Greenberg of Whitewater
Studios in Asheville to record the Appalachian
State University Orchestra playing a series of
classic Americana Music which will be featured
on the DVD project. Adam Greenberg states “the
performance of the Appalachian State Orchestra
rivals that of many professional orchestras”.
Studio M made a generous donation to the University’s
music program. Additional thanks also go to the
band’s director, Dr. John Ross for an outstanding
performance. |
Peter Smith of Studio M anticipates an overwhelming
reception of this DVD when it is released in January
of 2007. This DVD release is the featured product accompanying
the launch of the newly developed website: AmericaTheBeautiful.com.

Andrea Kramer was flown
in from Florida to sing several of the vocal
tracks on this project.
Adam Greenberg states “The mix of Andrea’s
voice with the Orchestra was Amazing”.
